EXCELLENT Based on 2104 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor Aithne P19/06/2026Verified Wakatipu, Glenorchy and Paradise Brilliant morning tour with stops along Lake Wakatipu, in Glenorchy and in Paradise valley and the forest.Posted on Tripadvisor Aithne P19/06/2026Verified Stunning views, river crossings and gold panning This was a brilliant afternoon, with Kenny, starting with an awesome Queenstown lookout, exploring Skippers Canyon, driving up the Arrow River with some afternoon tea and a quick gold pan on the way. We visited a number of LOTR locations and finished the day with a drive up the Crown Range to see the sunset. Thank you for a fun afternoon. I think my favourite part was bouncing and wobbling our way up and down the Arrow River....so much fun!! 😁Posted on Tripadvisor philippe g13/06/2026Verified prospect for gold visit to the filming locations of the lord of the ring films, prospect for gold in the river, thomas was our guide . he s very professionnal and friendlyPosted on Tripadvisor Navigator6453104356209/06/2026Verified Unforgettable experience This experience unforgettable, beautiful country nice people love it thank you for your hospitalityPosted on Tripadvisor Harish P27/05/2026Verified Engaging and spectacular views Amazing ride with spectacular views — absolutely worth it. My wife and I booked this full-day hike as part of our honeymoon. We were joined by a few other travellers in a small group for the hike. We highly recommend it! What made this day special was our guide, Angelo Georgalli. He is friendly, energetic, and caring. He knows so much about the nature and history of the lands. You could see his eyes sparkle when we spotted a few rare bird species. Also, he knew all the park rangers and staff and is a big part of the nature community there. Lastly, he frequently checked in with us to make sure we were moving at a good comfortable pace, while keeping us all on time. The views were amazing and the hike was a good challenge that pushed us.Posted on Tripadvisor Geoff23/05/2026Verified Extreme enough for experienced offroad motorcyclists Ben our guide was very friendly and obliging. I was worried this trip would be dumbed down and lame. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed every minute.Posted on Tripadvisor Harry B23/05/2026Verified Best experience ever! I had two different guides: Aidan in the morning and Pete in the afternoon. The 4WD experience was amazing as well. We got to travel on narrow and steep roads, cross rivers, visit many film locations, and enjoy great sightseeing in general. The guides were very knowledgeable and shared personal experiences, which made the tour feel even more special and personal. I highly recommend it!
EXCELLENT Based on 973 reviews Posted on Google Karly GarsterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My friends and I did the Lord of the Rings 4WD tour and had an absolute blast! Finley and Rob were excellent tour guides. They made the day memorable and answered all of our questions. It was really cool to see all of the filming locations and to learn some behind the scenes facts. Taking the jeep through the filming location of River Bruinen was a highlight for sure. Would highly recommend this tour for people who love Lord of the Rings like us, but would also recommend it to anyone who just wants to see great views on the South Island!Posted on Google Caitlin GilliamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an amazing time with Benjamin & Tom C! Absolutely blew our expectations. By far the best quad bike tour we’ve ever done!Posted on Google Kimberley SeymourTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the most amazing Quadbike adventure safaris today with our friendly, professional, awesome tour guide. From the snowy mountains of Queenstown to the Shotover River what an incredible experience. Thank you Kim & Greg, Gold Coast Australia. 🇦🇺Posted on Google T MagTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We went on a private quad bike tour with Nomad Safaris and it was hands down one of the best tours we have ever done. We’ve been quad biking in several different countries, and this was by far the best experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was incredibly well organised. Our guides, Ben and Petr, were fantastic! They were friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the tour. They provided all the necessary PPE, thoroughly explained the safety procedures, and regularly checked in to make sure we were doing okay and enjoying ourselves. They also went above and beyond by taking plenty of photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing the moment ourselves. If you’re considering booking this tour, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. It was an amazing experience from start to finish and absolutely worth every cent!Posted on Google HafizTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you are coming to Queenstown, skip the standard tourist buses and book this tour immediately. We did the 4-hour Lord of the Rings 4WD safari, and it was hands-down one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip to New Zealand. First off, our guide, Finley, was incredible. His deep knowledge of the lore, the filming secrets, and the local geography made the entire experience feel alive. Roaring up historic gold-mining tracks and splashing straight through the glacial waters of the Arrow River in a specialized 4WD was an absolute rush. Standing exactly where the Ford of Bruinen and the Pillars of the Kings were filmed was surreal. But what truly took this tour to a legendary level was Finley’s unexpected superpower: his photography skills. Finley doesn't just know where the best spots are; he doubles as an elite-tier photographer with skills greater than the One Ring itself! He knew the exact angles, how to frame the dramatic alpine backdrop, and caught the winter light perfectly. We walked away not just with incredible memories and gold we panned from the river ourselves, but with a gallery of professional-grade photos that look like they belong on a movie poster. Finley looked after us perfectly, kept us warm with hot drinks and biscuits, and gave us an unforgettable morning in Middle-earth. Do yourself a favor and request him by name!Posted on Google Giuseppe MargiottaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What can I say? New Zealand provides indescribable sensations, even for those accustomed to extraordinary natural landscapes, even for those with a good vocabulary, even for those fortunate enough, like me, to speak Italian, a language notoriously well-suited to expressing the most varied emotions (Dante Alighieri teaches us...). In short: sensational scenery! Our "Virgil" (Hayden, a young but highly knowledgeable guide), managed to illustrate our excursion with a wealth of details and anecdotes, with an absolutely uncommon level of involvement and empathy! Thanks, Hayden!!!Posted on Google Raley CarterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We did the Queenstown Lord of the Rings half day tour with Kenny - he was fantastic - very knowledgeable, down to earth and a great sense of humour. Highlights were the multiple crossings of the Arrow River towards Macetown, and navigating Skippers Road to catch the striking afternoon light in the canyon. You get to see a different side to Queenstown where rental cars are not permitted to go - highly recommend! ✨️Posted on Google Otis BatyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great tour. Pete was wonderful. Great adventure driving through river about 10 crossings and driving on nz most dangerous road. !!
