Join our guided e-bike wine tour with transfer from Queenstown and explore the stunning Arrowtown to Gibbston Valley cycle trail. Ride along riverside paths, cross historic suspension bridges, and enjoy breathtaking views of Central Otago’s wine country.
The e-bikes have pedal assist so you can relax and enjoy the sights without working up a sweat. The shuttle support allows you to hop in the vehicle if you’d prefer a shorter ride.
The tour finishes with a hosted tasting at a Gibbston Valley winery, where you’ll sample wines from boutique Central Otago producers.
This unique experience blends outdoor adventure with world-class Central Otago wine.
This is available as a private tour for $1,530 for up to 5 pax, any additional bikers are $255 per person.

Is this tour suitable for children?
This Queenstown e-bike wine tour is recommended for riders aged 14+ years, in line with international e-bike safety standards.
How long am I cycling for?
You’ll typically cycle for 1.5–2 hours within this half-day experience. The route can be adjusted depending on the speed and confidence of the group, making it suitable for a wide range of riders.
Do I have to cycle the whole time?
No, as the support shuttle travels nearby and the guide meets you along the way. There is pedal assist on the e-bike so you don’t need to pedal the entire time. If you’d like a break, you can stop at a convenient trail exit and swap from bike to vehicle while your e-bike is loaded for you.
How fit do I need to be?
A moderate base level of fitness is helpful, but the e-bikes allow you to put in as much or as little effort as you prefer. The pace is tailored to the confidence and ability of the group.
Do I need experience riding a bicycle?
Some cycling experience is recommended, as the trail includes bridges and riverside paths. However, the track is well formed and well maintained.
What should I bring?
A bottle of water and a light snack are provided. Sunscreen and a camera are recommended.
What should I wear?
Comfortable weather appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Helmets are supplied (and required by New Zealand law).
As this is a winery tour, is it safe to sip wine and cycle?
The ride finishes at a Gibbston Valley winery. You’ll enjoy your wine tasting after the cycling is complete, while your guide packs up the bikes. Afterwards, relax and enjoy the luxury of having your designated driver safely return you to Queenstown.
How many wines will I taste?
The hosted tasting is varied depending on which boutique Winery you will visit.
Will I get very dirty?
You may get dirty if there has been recent rain as the trails may be muddy.
